I have visited Cyprus many times since my first visit in 1984 but never in my wildest dreams did I ever envisage actually owning my own beautiful villa here. My partner Rosie remarked that she "felt as if she had come home" when landing at Larnaca airport for the first time in June 2001 and subsequent visits have confirmed this to her.
When I suggested buying a property abroad, Cyprus was the obvious joint choice. We looked at properties in the summer of 2002 and decided to return in November to look again. I found the www.living-Cyprus.com  web site only 5 days before we were due to travel and filled in the online questionnaire. The day after our arrival we were met by the representatives of the living-Cyprus associate in Cyprus who escorted us around an excellent selection of properties in various locations within our specifications. They were very patient, extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and discussed the pros and cons with no pressure.
We fell in love with our eventual purchase in Oroklini and arranged for a pool to be built in the garden. The legal aspects were expertly handled by Areti Charidemou & Associates in Limassol (mostly via e-mail with us) and we came back on 30th January 2003 for completion. Through www.living-cyprus.com we were able to save us thousands of CY pounds on our furniture and electrical purchases by them pointing us in the direction of quality companies that they knew. The developers were also extremely helpful and friendly.

I have just returned from a week in Cyprus that concluded with the purchase of my dream villa and  would like to take the opportunity to thank the Living-Cyprus team for a most professional service both prior to and during my visit. All questions (and there were many !) were answered quickly and the knowledgeable advice prevented, I am sure, many hours of stress and
heartache.
I had considered organising everything on my own and am now so glad that I didn't. The team  had prepared visits to various plots and under construction properties which met my requirements and were within my specified budget range saving me many hours of what would have been wasted time and effort. Furthermore I was introduced to Areti, an independent legal representative who is already doing a first class job on my behalf. The after sales service has already proved excellent as my questions have yet to dry up i.e. currency conversion, shipping, property maintenance etc. and as a remote owner the promise of regular photographs, throughout the construction phase, will continue to provide reassurance during the coming months.

For some years, my wife and I have been looking for 'a paradise home in the sun' and have ventured to many destinations.  The majority had plenty to offer but for the most part, left us with a considerable amount of investigative work to determine if the country was best suited for us. 

When we decided 'to try Cyprus', we were advised to search a dot.com called, Living Cyprus.Com  Accordingly, from the comfort of our Scottish farm home, we discovered a very comprehensive inspirational guide of this wonderful island. As one reads the in-depth information professionally presented, it does at times provoke the thought, 'does all of this sound too good to be true'?  Cost of fuel; cost of living; tax advantages; access to legal advice; health insurance, and, of course, climate, to name but a few, clearly demonstrates that a great deal of investigative work is already done before you set foot on the island.  For our part, we contacted Living Cyprus (UK), as advised, and found them to be most accommodating. Shortly after our arrival, we were able to rely on their valued support.

Within 4 days and through the good offices of a registered Estate Agent (highly recommended by Living Cyprus), we were introduced to a company of Land & Building Developers from whom we bought a most attractive house plot in Peyia (west of Pathos)  - had architectural plans professionally drawn to our specification, and engaged a quality solicitor who really does look after our interests.  The speed and efficiency with which these tasks were introduced and satisfactorily completed were entirely due to the professionalism of Living Cyprus who has the ability to ensure you are their most important challenge.

The valuable work of Living Cyprus has been completely free to us as clients and, furthermore, on our return to the UK after 1 week, they have introduced us to a London Money Broker who ensures we obtain the best exchange rate for each tranche of funds sent to meet the stage payments on our house. In true Living Cyprus fashion, the conversion and transfer of funds are completely free to the client and, accordingly, Living Cyprus has not only helped us but has saved us a great deal of money had we chosen to 'plough our own furrow'.

He then brought me to meet Areti Charidemou, the advocate who guided us through the legal problems in Cyprus, if you don't do things correctly, and finally we had a detailed briefing from Roger Brooke on Insurance and some of the pitfalls you find when settling in Cyprus. All of this was without obligation and was excellent in all respects.

We enjoyed our trip to Cyprus very much and the service provided by Chris and Anna could not have been better.
We were met at the Airport in the early hours of the morning and taken to the Apartment that was reserved for us by Chris. The Apartment was fine for our purpose, particularly as we were set to be out and about all day, every day.

Chris arrived and took us to the Paphos area where for the rest of the day and the whole of the following day he, and Anna, introduced, and accompanied, us around property and sites associated with 3 local builders.

We were looking to find a site and arrange to have a Villa built over the next 18 months. We were shown some good sites but were not able to be shown examples of completed Villas that we liked. This surprised me as I expected to see lots of gorgeous Villas but find all the best sites already occupied. At the end of day 2, we had seen 1 reasonable Villa  with promise from their architech to modify the plans over the weekend for inspection on Monday.The plot available for this Villa was very steep and would have had lots of steps up to the entrance.

On Saturday we embarked with another Agent we had booked and were taken to see the Leptos development at Kamares Village. Apparently Chris had contacted Leptos to take us but the other Agent had already booked our names in with them. We were very impressed with Leptos - the build quality was much better than what we had seen and the style of the Villas was in line with our thoughts. The Sales manager promised to come up with some plans to meet our requirements by the Monday afternoon and when we saw these we had a deal.

The visit Saturday afternoon to Aristo builders was not succesful in terms of plots or properties particularly after seeing the Leptos range.

We were sorry that the purchase was not completed through Chris. Had he got in first and booked for us to visit Leptos then he would have got the business. We got on so well with them both that we intend to keep in touch and hope to meet up with them on our next visit in October.

Myself and my family would like to thank yourself, Chris and Anna, for all the help and support you provided to me before and during my recent trip to Limassol.

After scanning the Internet for several months looking for a property to purchase in the Limassol area it was very refreshing and eventually very rewarding to have found LIVING-CYPRUS Web Site.

Being one of the purchasers who did not and could not wait 12-18 months for an ‘Off Plan’ development, and knowing there is not as many readily available properties, we were delighted to have had a choice when I arrived and over the moon to have found exactly our requirements, as specified to Chris.

I must just add that the solicitor you recommended, Areti, was, and still is, extremely helpful and reassuring, especially when it came to dealing with the developer.

As a footnote, I would just like to say that your very strong advice to visit Cyprus to purchase, rather than purchase from over the Internet or phone, as I was prepared to do, proved invaluable.

We first visited Cyprus 3 years ago and fell in love with the island, but then who wouldn’t.  One day we knew we would want to go and spend the rest of our lives there. 

Having researched the possibilities for about the last year we hit on your site and found it an invaluable source of up-to-date information, which we have readily passed onto others.  Through your contact and advice we were able to plan a 2-week working holiday in Cyprus, from which we have just returned.

Having decided we wanted to buy a property in Cyprus early on in the year, we found acquiring information about buying a bit of a task.
I was advised by a colleague to visit Living-Cyprus.com, just twenty-four hours before we were due to fly. 
Nothing to lose I thought so on I went, shocked by the amount of information on this superb website I contacted them immediately. 
Everything we needed to know including contact numbers was listed. Within twenty-four hours of having arrived in Cyprus we were met by a Living-Cyprus (Cypriot) representative, who arranged for us to view properties that day. After giving him our budget and type of property we required, we found exactly what we wanted, signed a contract and an appointment with a Cypriot Solicitor was arranged.

By the end of the week we had achieved our mission, on returning home the advice has continued regarding paying for the property through a currency broker, which compared with the Bank saved us £500 on our first payment.

We are delighted and highly recommend this website.

After research and checking this site over a period of 4 months, we visited Paphos in May and managed to buy a relatively new resale - these are rare and I spent 4 days solid visiting developments and some very poor old properties. An associate of Living Cyprus called Chris (Akis) from Limassol assisted by doing the legwork and finding suitable properties. 

All the developers were able to offer properties newly built in the next 12-18 months. 
However this meant buying from plans and trusting your developer, as you would in the UK. 

Cyprus and Paphos particularly appears to have potential buyers outstripping the available properties and prices appear to be rising. I checked the local press and drove around Paphos. Obviously properties go up for sale daily and like wise sell. The only way is to come to Cyprus and visit as many agents and developers. Many agents appear to advertise the same properties or properties which sold 5 years ago! 

We used Chris to assist us find a property in May - he was very polite, courteous and professional and managed to remind me of my original housing request and not get carried away in to thinking I would not obtain a property. Please note he cannot magic up properties into thin air with in your price range! But he'll ensure you see properties suitable to your needs - if they are available.
