Direct helps save customers hundreds, if not thousands of pounds, by providing
an easy to use service, rates that are second to none in the spot and forward
foreign exchange market and offer a "one-stop" shop for our customers'
needs.
Every
customer is allocated their own personal foreign exchange dealer who will
look after their needs and interests, monitoring the currency market to
help you purchase your foreign currency at the optimum time and level,
unlike your High Street bank who may leave you exposed to fluctuating exchange
rates. In some cases, a customer will be given a High Street bank's fixed
rate of exchange for the day irrespective of whether the market moves in
your favour which could result in making your purchase far more expensive
than it needs to be.
Currencies
Direct customers can telephone as many times a day for an intra-day update
on market movements. However, some customers prefer to place an order with
us to buy their desired currency at a certain rate and if and when the
market hits that rate, we execute that instruction, taking the worry out
of adverse market movements and the need to telephone us several times
a day to see where the market is. Should the market be moving drastically
against our customers' favour, we will always appraise that customer of
this, helping to keep their desired rate realistic. Currencies Direct provides
this service so that our customers can get on with their day.
We
have no hidden costs, just a flat fee of £25.00 for a Telegraphic
Transfer or Bankers' Draft. However, clients of Living Cyprus do not pay
any transfer fee's provided you inform us when you register.

Purpose of loan/mortgage?
To be used for the purchase of a finished
(new or re-sale) or a house, flat or office to be constructed in Cyprus.
Who can access these mortgages/loans?
Foreign Nationals (Non Cypriots) whether living
in Cyprus or abroad, off shore companies and their expatriate staff (living
in Cyprus), and Cypriots living abroad.
Features;
Any major currency of customers choice
Loan to value max is 80% but more usually 70%
Maximum term is 10 years
Interest rate of loan is variable based on margin
of say 2.5% above 3 month Libor rates. (Contact us for current rates -
remember any currency !)
It is a repayment mortgage only - where capital
is paid off over the term together with interest on the reducing balance
Repayment must be from an external source in an
external currency.
Early repayment is possible without penalties
Arrangement fees around 1% of loan value (can
be added to loan)
Normally loans based on 3 times salary (including
joint salaries), but this is flexible
Customers MUST meet with lending institution before
the loan is granted
Slightly different terms apply depending on lender
and the deals available, individual independent advice is therefore essential.
